Run Tennis and Early Years Multi Sports Programmes in Clubs and Schools. Coached players age 2 to 70 for 25+ years, fed a number of players into county programmes, junior nationals. Also run Leaders Courses and working on developing educational resources linked to sport. As a player represented Kent, Surrey, British Universities and England and GB Seniors. Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Being accredited ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe-to-practice standards, such as first aid and safeguarding training. An Accredited+ coach also commits to a minimum of 15 hours of professional development training each year.
Qualifications range from 1 to 5 and indicate the level of formally-assessed training a coach has completed. Coaches begin the LTA Qualification pathway at LTA Assistant (Level 1) and are able to train up to Master Coach (Level 5), the highest available LTA qualification. When choosing a coach we recommend taking into account qualifications, experience and ongoing CPD training, which can be seen in their 'Recently completed training courses' tab.
