Continuing to impress on her comeback to the tour, Murray Sharan and Georgia's Mariam Bolkvadze finished runners-up at the W25 Sunderland event after missing out in the final to Freya Christie and Elena Malygina, 6-0, 4-6, 10-4.
Barnett teamed up with fellow Brit Alicia Barnett for the W40 Petange event where the pair eased through to the final. In a battle for the title against compatriot, Ali Collins and Isabelle Haverlag, Murray Sharan and Barnett came out on top in the match deciding tie-break to clinch the silverware, 6-7(4), 6-1, 10-6.
October
Murray Sharan won her first title of the year when she teamed up with Australia's Olivia Gadecki for the W25 Baza event.
Competing in her first event of the season, Murray Sharan and Gadecki closed out the tournament with an impressive victory against Lea Boskovic and Angela Fita Boluda 7-5, 4-6, 10-4.
January
Started the season competing in both the singles and doubles of the Traralgon International but lost out in the first round of both events.
At the first Grand Slam of the year, Murray Sharan lost in the first round of Australian Open qualifying to Hailey Baptiste 6-1, 6-7, 7-6.
February
Playing alongside Mariam Bolkvadze, Murray Sharan won her first title of the season at the W60 Altenkirchen in February. The British, Georgian duo didn't drop a set all tournament and completed their flawless performance with a 6-3, 7-5 win over Susan Bandecchi and Simona Waltert.
March
In the Lyon Open, Murray Sharan and Ulrikke Eikeri beat Japanese pair, Eri Hozumi and Makoto Ninomiya, to make it through to the semi-finals, where they would just miss out on securing a place in the final after a tense tussle against fellow British duo, Alicia Barnett and Olivia Nicholls.
May
Murray Sharan reached an all-new career high with the help of partner, Xenia Knoll, defeating Suisse duo, Conny Perrin and Joanne Zuger in straight sets to earn her second ITF title of the year and a place in the top 100!
Murray Sharan partnered with Heather Watson ahead of the French Open, coming out victorious in the opening round before bowing out of the tournament in a 6-2, 7-6(6) defeat against Marta Kostyuk and Elena Gabriela Ruse.

Reached the semi-finals at the Rothesay Open Nottingham with Vivian Heisen before losing to Caroline Dolehide and Monica Niculescu 6-4, 3-6, 10-3.
July
Murray Sharan and Heisen went out in the first round at Wimbledon to Anett Knotaveit and Shelby Rogers 6-2, 6-4.
Recovering from injury set back at the end of 2020, Sam played her first match in 2021 at Roland Garros qualifying where she lost in the first round.
Semi final at ITF $25k in Sunderland in February, won singles and doubles titles at ITF $25k in Potchefstroom SA in March.
Played first senior events of her career on the ITF Circuit in Great Britain. Won first title in 2007. Won first doubles ITF Pro Circuit in the same year. Played first WTA main draw match at Aegon Classic Birmingham in 2009 and won her first four single ITF Pro Circuit titles. Reached WTA SFs in Quebec City in 2015, doubles final of WTA Hong Kong and doubles SF of Aegon Classic Birmingham (with Heather Watson) in 2016.
