Tennis beginnings
Started playing wheelchair tennis aged 11 after attending a Tennis Foundation have-a-go day, shortly after the Rio Olympics, and was first selected to represent the GB junior team at the 2018 World Team Cup, aged 12.
Batram was inspired to play wheelchair tennis by fellow Norfolk-born player Alfie Hewett.

Bartram completed his season with his third men's doubles title of the year at the Antalya Open, where he partnered Robin Groenewoud. The pair beat Daniel Caverzaschi and Alwande Sikhosana 7-6(0), 6-2 in the men's doubles final.
October
Bartram was selected as one of 10 British players to feature in our new tennis documentary series, Beyond the Baseline, presented by Lexus.
May
Bartram was a part of the Great Britain mens team that were crowned World Team Cup champions for the third time following a 2-0 victory over the Netherlands.
The 17-year-old won all three of his matches throughout the week, and played a vital part in bringing home the title for his nation.
Bartram made it to both the singles and doubles final at the Commit Open. The young Brit lost to top seed Tom Egberink 6-2, 6-3 in the final and lost out to the Dutchman again in the doubles after Egberink and Frederic Cattaneo defeated Bartram and partner Martin Legner 7-6(2), 6-2.
April
Bartram teamed up with Dermot Bailey for the doubles event at the Kemal Sahin Open. After dominating in their semi-final match against Geoffrey Jasiak and Emirhan Toper 6-1, 6-2, the all-British duo received a walkover in the final to seal the doubles title.
Bartram also reached the final of the singles event but lost out to Iraq’s Hussein Hamid Hel 6-2, 6-4.
March
Bartram headed to the Georgia Open where he finished runner up alongside Japan's Tokito Oda in the men's doubles. In the final, they faced reigning Australian Open doubles champions Reid and Alfie Hewett and missed out on a title in a 6-3, 6-0 defeat.
Bartram also competed in the men's singles event where he bowed out in the second round to Tom Egberink.
February
Bartram teamed up with fellow Brit Gordon Reid for the first time in their careers, to wrap up the men’s doubles title at the Bolton ITF 2 event. The third seeds had to be at their best to beat Dutch duo Egberink and Maikel Scheffers 1-6, 6-4, 10-7 in the semi-finals, before eventually receiving a walkover in the final.
Bartram also made it to the quarter-final of the Bolton event, before losing out to Martin Del la Puente 6-0, 6-0.
January
Bartram received a wild card to the Australian Open where he unfortunately suffered a first round exit after a 6-0, 3-6, 6-3 defeat to Takashi Sanada
December
In December, Bartram clinched the last international title of the year after claiming victory in the men’s doubles at the Antalya Open in Turkey.
Bartram and his doubles partner Alwande Sikhosana beat the top two seeded partnerships on their way victory at the ITF 3 event, winning 10 games in a row on their way to beating Japanese top seeds Daisuke Arai and Kouhei Suzuki 6-4, 6-0 in the semi-finals and ending with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Chile’s Alexander Cataldo and Costa Rica’s Jose Pablo Gil.
Bartram completed 2022 having won six senior singles titles and six senior doubles titles, as well as the singles and doubles titles at the year’s two most prominent junior tournaments.
November
Teaming up for the first time in their Masters debut, Bartram and Tokita Oda topped their grou but lost out to Martin de la Puente and Gustavo Fernandez 6-2, 6-2 in the semis.
Bartram went on to compete at the Open Paratennis du Loiret, where he reached the semi-finals in both the singles and doubles draws.
October
After a breakthrough season for the young Brit, Bartram was awarded ITF Junior Player of the Year with seven titles to his name this year alone.
August
Bartram wrapped up yet another ITF Futures singles title after defeating British No.3 Ward 6-1, 6-3 at the Arges Open, which he successfully followed up with yet another trophy alongside Ward to win their second men’s doubles title in a month.
Top seed Bartram went on to secure his sixth successive singles title after defeating compatriot Dahnon Ward 6-4, 5-7, 6-0. However, Bartram and Ward lost out on winning back-to-back men’s doubles titles after losing out to countryman Dermot Bailey and his Spanish partner Enrique Siscar Meseguer.
July
Bartram took home the singles and doubles titles at this year's Nottingham Futures event. He defeated fellow Brit Dahnon Ward 6-4, 6-1 in the singles, before joining up with Ward to beat Andrew Penney and Mark Langeveld 6-3, 6-1 in the final.
May
Bartram welcomed success in the doubles alongside partner, Anto Joskic, as they were crowned champions of the Sirius Open. The pair stormed into the finals after straight-set victories in the quarter and semi-finals, setting themselves up for a battle against Austrian’s, Martin Legner and Josef Riegler. Not one for the faint hearted, the two pairs went head-to-head with two tiebreaks in the first and third set, with Bartram and Joskic eventually closing out the match 7-6(2), 4-6, 10-7.
March
In early March he partnered Ward to the men’s doubles final at the Megasaray Open in Turkey, whey Bartram and Ward beat the top seeds in the quarter-finals. A week later, also in Turkey, he made his Great Britain senior debut when helping the GB men’s team to win their event at the World Team Cup Qualification, becoming LTA Colour Holder No.315.
February
Began 2022 by becoming the third Brit to win the Junior Masters boys’ singles title and added victory in the doubles, partnering fellow Brit Dahnon Ward. Went on to beat a seeded player on his way to reaching the men’s singles semis at the ITF 3 Bolton Indoor tournament.
