Padel beginnings
Norton started playing padel in Birmingham back in 2015 at the age of 12. Having played tennis throughout her childhood, picked up the game quickly and was selected to play for the Great Britain junior team at World Championships in Mexico - where she reached the quarter-finals.
It was after this event that she decided to pursue padel as her primary sport, beginning a journey that has taken her to British No.1. In 2021 she made her debut on the World Padel Tour and has since become the first British woman to win a match on the tour.
Favourite moments
Norton's favourite memory of her career so far was her semi-final win at the FIP RISE London Padel Open, where she and her partner came back from 1-1 and 5-2, 0-40 down on her serve to win the match in a third set tie-break.
She made her debut for Great Britain at the Junior World Championships in Mexico in 2015.
Off-court
When she's not playing padel, Norton loves spending time with her friends and family and has a passion for drawing, as well as music. She's also in the process of learning Spanish at the moment.

- Won the FIP Promotion Sharjah title alongside Spain's Silvia Lopez Vidal, after the pair defeated Gimena Sol Perez and Maria Vega 6-3, 7-5 in the final
- Reached the semi-final of the FIP Rise in Dubai after losing out to eventual winners Lucia Perez Parra and Laura Lujan Rodriguez in the deciding set, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4

Norton and Van der Hoek continued to build a strong partnership, with the duo reaching the quarter-finals of the FIP Rise event in Houten.
August
Norton once again teamed up with van der Hoek for the HOP London Padel Open where the pair reached the Round of 16 before bowing out to Dutch duo Koek and Weterings in a 6-4, 6-3 defeat.
July
Norton joined forces with Dutch professional tennis player Rosalie van der Hoek for the FIP Rise Al Alamein event in Egypt, where the Brit picked up her second FIP Rise title.
After sailing through their opening round matches, the British, Dutch duo dispatched Ingy Hashish and Yusra Hegy 6-0, 6-3 to book their place in the final where they faced Bruna Albuquerque Melo and Melissa Martin.
Competing in their toughest encounter of the week, with some challenging weather conditions, Norton and her Dutch counterpart dug deep to clinch a 7-5, 3-6, 7-5 victory and take the crown.
April
April saw Norton head to the FIP Rise Rock Lane to compete in the women's draw alongside Portugal's Margarida Fernandes where the pair made it to the quarter-final.
March
Norton was selected to play for team Las Vegas in the inaugural player draft for the 2023 Pro Padel League (PPL) in the USA. The British No.1 was one of only 52 players from approximately 500 entries into the competition and was the first women’s player picked by Las Vegas to join the team.
Continuing where they left off at the Surge Padel event, Norton and Gibson headed to the We Are Padel event in Derby where they impressively defeated Dutch duo Liza Groenveld and Janine Hemmes 6-3, 6-1 in the final to lift the title.
February
Tia Norton partnered fellow Brit Aimee Gibson at the first event of the 2023 LTA Padel British Tour at Surge Padel in Harrogate. Here, Norton and Gibson impressively defeated top seeds Lisa Phillips and Abigail Tordoff in the semi-final before overcoming Catherine Rose and Lila Simpson 7-6(4), 6-4 in the final to take the crown.
