Volunteering in sport is more than just giving back; it's a chance to connect with your community, make a real difference to people’s lives and help them discover their love for sports, such as tennis.

Over 25,000 people choose to volunteer in tennis across Britain at a local, county, regional and/or national level, with more and more people helping to grow our sport and open it up to communities across the country.

There are countless ways you can get involved too, whether you play tennis or not. From supporting your local courts to volunteering at one of our professional tournaments, there’s a role to suit you and your lifestyle.

Why become a tennis volunteer?

  • Make a difference in your community
  • Have your say and influence how your club or venue is run
  • Develop new interpersonal skills
  • Make new friends
  • Benefit your mental wellbeing

Support free tennis sessions

Be a part of helping more people play and enjoy tennis for free at your local park courts.

Barclays Free Park Tennis is a new programme that gives more people the chance to play tennis – offering fun, social tennis sessions at a local park court near you.

Sessions are free for all ages and abilities, running for one hour every week and are led by our team of trained volunteers – also known as Barclays Free Park Tennis Activators.

Barclays Free Park Tennis Activators work together as a team to organise and run sessions for their community. We’ll provide you with training, equipment and kit for you to get started, just bring your enthusiasm and energy to the court.
