The Tennis Volunteer Community (TVC) is a gated Facebook group that was set up in 2021 by the LTA and independent volunteer champions.
Its aim is to provide an informal, transparent and helpful online space where volunteers from all over the country can connect, start conversations, exchange ideas and find answers.
As part of this, the TVC run regular Q&As hosted on Zoom.

September Venue Forums
In September 2024 we are running a series of venue forums with varying themes but set up in a way that ensures we bring venues of a similar size together.
Forums are split by venues with:
- 1-3 courts
- 4-7 courts
- 8+ courts
- padel venues

Since the COVID-19 pandemic we’ve seen great examples from a range of tennis venues introducing Pay & Play alongside their membership structure, generating regular bookings, increasing revenue and seeing a growth in membership too. We want to support more venues to achieve similar positive results.
This session will focus on how your venue can easily introduce Pay & Play and attract new people to your venue. The forum will introduce resources to help you make the most of your P&P offer but also provide the perfect environment to network, exchange innovative ideas, and forge valuable connections with your peers from venues of a comparable size.

Membership growth and retention
Updated for 2020, a chance to revisit the growing your membership club forum from last year. Over 850 clubs have now taken advantage of a local profile report in order to understand more about their members, understand their catchment and potential, enabling them to build successful recruitment campaigns.

Play and compete
The LTA is introducing the ITF World Tennis Number – a brand new, inclusive and modern rating system for all players in Britain which will replace the LTA Rating System in spring 2021. This webinar introduces you to the ITF World Tennis Number, providing further detail around the principles and the practicalities of how the number can be introduced and used at your venue.

In addition to LTA led webinars, we are working closely with the TIA UK as part of our partnership with the tennis trade body. The TIA UK’s annual ‘Business of Tennis Forum’ is this year being converted into a series of webinars - aimed at larger clubs but will be of interest to all clubs. The topics focus on some key business issues affecting clubs, illustrate best practice and how clubs can maximise opportunities to grow and increase revenue.

With the rapid rise in energy bills, we ran some webinars to help venues navigate the impacts of this volatile market.
The online webinar below will share some hints and tips from industry experts, including Carbon Control Limted and the LTA Buying Group. Both will provide guidance on the steps you can take to reduce the impact of the energy price hikes and signpost to further support available to your tennis venue.
