Help your child improve in tennis
So, your kids are loving getting out to play tennis and you want to know how you can help them improve their skills.
No problem – we’ve got everything you need to know on helping your kids to level up their tennis game through coaching, competitions and even practicing from your living room.
If your kids have completed their LTA Youth Start course and are ready to take their tennis to a new level, then the LTA Youth Programme is for them.
It’s junior tennis like you’ve never seen it before – LTA Youth is a world-class programme designed to give kids aged 4-18 everything they need to grow as players and people.
Fun always comes first with LTA Youth – we want your kids to bring their energy to every session so we’ve developed a whole range of exciting games and dynamic drills that will keep them on their toes. No standing around, no ‘quiet please’, we want your kids to enjoy every second on court.
The programme is built around progressive stages that test kids at every level so they can improve at their own pace – but we’re confident they’ll be challenging you in no time!
Another great way to learn and improve is by having one-to-one coaching with one of our many LTA Accredited coaches.
Our coaches are experts in supporting players of all ages and abilities and will help your kids level up their skills in no time at all. Accredited coaches are trained to the highest standards to work with players to develop themselves on and off the court.
Coaches will give your kids a chance to hit lots of balls and have lots of fun on court while picking up tips and tricks to improve their technique.
If you don’t know who your coach at your local venue is or maybe you want to try somewhere new – you can search for a coach using our handy Find a Coach tool.
Playing tennis is a brilliant way for the whole family to keep active and playing with your kids will help them progress their game.
If you want to get better at tennis, there’s no substitute for just getting out and playing. Even if you don’t play tennis yourself you can always go down and throw balls for your kids to hit or you can set them up to play with one of their friends.
Booking a tennis court has never been easier with our online tennis court booking system – just click on the link below, search your location and book a court at a local park, club, school or even leisure centre.
We know that kids love competing and playing games against each other, especially when it comes to tennis.
There are wide range of different competitions that you can get your kids involved in, whether they’re playing in one of our LTA Youth Compete events or taking on other kids around the county in the annual County Championships – check out our full range of Junior competitions.
