The format of the tournament will see the nations be split into four groups of four teams - 10 of which will come through direct qualification based on their finishing position at the last European Championships, while the other six teams will be determined by the qualification event.

After the group stages, the two teams that top each group will advance to the Play-Offs to determine positions 1-8 while the remaining teams will bid to finish in positons 9-16.

The last European Championships took place in Marbella back in 2021 and saw the men's team finish in sixth place. As a result, the British men enter this year's Championships as the sixth seeds, meanwhile, the women - who finished in 10th place in 2021 - will arrive as the 10th seeds.
